What is this red algae/plant?

Hello everyone,

I have this red algae growing rapidly in my tank which I attached a picture of. I'm really not sure what it is, and I was wandering if anyone has seen it or can identify it. I don't have much of other types of algae aside from a few patches of of green hair algae.

Here is my water quality:

pH: 8.4
Ammonia: 0ppm
Nitrite: 0ppm
Nitrate: 0ppm
Calcium: 380ppm
Alkalinity: 8.5-9.0 dKH
I do not own a phosphate test kit.

Tank: 29 gallon with 10 gallon sump/refrigium
Light: 165w Mars Aqua at 80% blue 90% white
Skimmer: Aqualife mini 115
425gph circulation pump
I also use carbon

It is definitely not a mushroom. It does look cool, but it is growing very rapidly. I would like to minimize its growth and not completely rid the tank of it. I just don't want it covering everything.

With your low nutrient reef conditions, it's unlikely to grow out of control. I'd still let it go. You can always prune it back at any time. In the meantime, it's sucking up nutrients for you, while adding a beautiful, natural element.
