what is this reef fish?

I was told he is from the Florida Keys - swims like a Hawk Fish or Blennie, can anyone identify or tell me where to post for an I.D.?

Moon stream, from what I see you are correct - it was the bright orange red that was throwing me off. One site just displayed on ehtat was more black and whit but the description was accurate. Two dealers at my LFS also could not tell from the pic. Thanks again.

the species seem to have a pretty wide range in terms of coloration, I think.

Yep, saddle blenny, Malacoctenus triangulatus. Males are predominantly red, females gray, with some coloration/marking variations. They are pretty neat fish, and very hardy. I have a few pairs of them in our Caribbean tank that spawn regularly, and are interesting to watch.
