What is this snail?

This has appeared one day! I have never seen one of these before. Is it bad or good? Its about the size of golf ball.

Well, what are every ones thoughts. Should he/she go? I haven't had any problems but I really don't want it knocking things over either. How big can they get.

I never had any problems with mine, although I could see how having something about the size of a golf ball roaming around your tank could cause some problems though. Just make sure your corals are secured with a little epoxy or super glue gel and you should be fine.
