What is this species that appeared in my tank?

What is this thing? I just noticed it. I only have 2 clown fish and 5 hermit crabs in my 23 gallon tank. I definitely didn’t add this. What is it?

Yep, Aiptasia a pest anemone that can rapidly multiply.

Is definitely get rid of it. They can and usually are invasive

Yep, here’s what happened to a friend of mine when he had some issues that left him unable to maintain his tank for a while. The Aiptasia took over.

Small one like that, I would just suck it out with my next water change. Scrape the glass where it's connected with the hose intake as it's sucking water and it will come right off. Some sand will go with it too. Don't do it half way - make sure the whole thing goes up the tube.
