What is this thing on my Duncan?

Black "turd" looking thing in the center, it comes out and goes back in.

What is it?

Looks like a nudibranch, if i was you i would remove it things like this on corals are not always a good thing.

If in doubt get it out i always say.

It is coming out of the center hole. It is not a Nudibranch.

A bristle worm? Seriously? This thing is part of the coral itself. It is not a worm or pest. The Duncan seems to retract it after awhile, then it comes back out of the hole randomly.

I have 3 duncan colonies and I promise you that's not part of the duncan. Can you get a better photo?

It hasn't done this since I first put it in my tank which was a week ago. I promise you it ain't no bristle worm.

You are correct, it was just taking a dump.

I searched around and yes, Duncan's poop.

So more or less, it was a "part" of the coral.

if you are feeding it a meaty diet i would say it is poop…otherwise it could be the coral expelling it symbiotic algae
