i have what looks like white little snails on glass sides of fish tank. you can see them with little antennas. what is it actually and is it good or bad?
do they move? if not the are probablly Spriorbid Worms. they are harmless filter feeders. if they do move they are probablly some sort of pod. take a look here and see if you can find a match. www.melevsreef.com/id
There are many small species of snails that will grow in our tanks. Many of them are good algae eaters. If you're not missing any animals, I think you're in fine shape. The spreading might have to do with food availability.
mine does not look like the pic of the baby mantis shrimp. I dont think these guys could swim. they look like a grain of rice. they have a big tail end. Any tricks for removing the algae thanks.
