So got this from Levi last week and was wondering just what is it?? Its polyps are out in the shot and colors are close. Anyone have any thoughts? I looked and tryed to figure it out but alas my google skills have failed...

It almost looks like an encrusting hydnophora (horn) coral. The polyps are throwing me off since they are smaller.

Definitely a Hydnophora species. The most common ones come in green, I haven't seen them in any other color but green and brown.

Thanks to all for replies. Glad I found out it sends out almost lps stinging sweepers as it was sitting dangerously close to a few nice sps colonies.

I have the branching version. It will win any battle with the other corals in my tank but I never got the long sweepers. Mine only went out maybe an inch. I would put other coral pretty close to it. The only damage was done when something fell on it or vise versa.

That's good to know. I tend to reference everything to my galaxia that reaches close to 4 inches. It no has a nice private corner by some xenia I am trying to kill.
