Are they purple or is it just your lighting?
Can you take a pic without the purple haze channels on?

My first guess would be codium fragile algae.. it can have a purple shade to it sometimes..

Given the right conditions it just kind of does what it does, grow... It's definitely not a bad thing though. If it becomes an eyesore it's real easy to prune & relocate. GL.
