Looks like an Aiptasia anemone or glass anemone if you prefer....if it is, it will become a pest, best to get rid of it fast before it multiplies and multiplies and multiplies. Poke at it until it shrivels up then cover it with plumbers putty.

That doesn't look like aiptasia to me. It's too green and it's tentacles look too small. It could be a majano which is similar to aiptasia but more colorful. It could also be some type of paly. A closer picture would help.

Too hard to tell from that picture. Could be an aiptasia, could be a paly. Don't think it's a majano, as those generally have thicker tentacles than aips.

Agreed, but I've never seen a green aiptasia. All that I've seen (which is A LOT LOL) have been clearish or brownish. I guess an easy way to tell would be to see how it reacts if it gets touched (gently!) if it retracts fast, it's some sort of anemone, if it retracts slow, it's probably some type of paly. There are other hitchhiker nems besides aiptasia and majanos. In one tank I used to have I had ball anemones. Pretty cool looking things and didn't spread and overrun your tank like aiptasia or majanos.
