Looks like black mold, smells like black mold (really strongly), stains like black mold. Only on the silicone all around the inside tank, not on the rocks, sand, glass, or anywhere outside the tank
I'm in week 6 of the cycle, just the rock, sand, water and a bottle of reef bacteria to get things started. Went away for 10 days, came back to this. Fish room smelled moldy and this is the only "mold" I can find.
If it's diatoms I'm happy, but I haven't had diatoms smell like mold before.
What's up with this? What should I do?
Everything is Apex controlled. 78F, 7.9pH, just the lighting from the room right now, skimmer working well on a drier skim.
