what is this?

there is something weird on one side of my firefish's tail.
it wasn't there 2 days ago, i just noticed it last night.
it looks like a light film that is coating only 1 side of his tail. it appears as if he can't open his tail fully.

a new coral i picked up cheap. not sure what it is, but the price was too good. what is it? i'm thinking colt coral.

the purple things...sponges?

The coral looks like a looks like a kenya tree. I have no idea about your fish

Sorry, I don't know about the fish either. Have you tried the fish disease forum? I suspect the recommendation will be to quarantine and treat the fish.

i've looked, but it doesn't quite match anything.
question: is it possible for brine shrimp to get stuck to the sides of fish?
cause that sure is what it looks like. i'm going to try and pick up a cleaner shrimp today. maybe he'll take it off.

ok, well the firefish is missing.
i assume he's dead and already eaten.
dang it.
incidently the junk that was on him isn't on anything or anyone else.
