what is this!

I was putting in some new rock, and I thought I saw a spider floating in the water. It wasnt I dont have any pictures of it because its to small.

It looks like a Serpent Sea Star but way smaller maybe 1/2" in diameter.

Does anyone know what this is and is it harmful to the tank?

It could have been a Mini Serpent Star or a Sea Spider.

can I put it back in, or do you reccomend leaving it out? I going to have a FOWLR tank

If you have it captured, I would leave it out and take a picture. Even the remotest picture is better than nothing. Just do the best you can.

looks like a brittle star to me. I would put it in a sump?refugium or back in the tank.
