What is this?

Hey all, I'm hoping that someone can tell me what this is and how to get rid of it (I've been pulling it out by hand, but there has to be a better way!) We let it grow initially b/c it was nice looking, but now it has gotten out of hand. The discs (not spheres) are attached to long (longer than photo shows) vines. Thanks for the help!

Looks like Caulerpa Peltata

Not sure what might eat it, there are a few threads going with members trying to rid themselves of caulerpa species. Go through the last 10 days of threads in this forum.

I second the Caulerpa diagnosis. Not much will eat it. Manual removal is your best bet.
