What Is This!

In the last several days, all of my zoas have closed and look terrible...I saw a thing on the glass that looked like a slug with yellow feathers...My wife just called and said there was a ton of them in the tank. I haven't introduced anything into my tank in probably 2 months. I'm waiting for her to send me pics so I will post once I can get them. Any thoughts???

Zoanthid eating nudibranch...VERY bad. Take all of your zoas out, do a freshwater dip, then a 25% hydrogen peroxide 75% saltwater dip, then do a saltwater rinse and put them back into the tank. Another option would be to do the dip stickied at the top of the zoa forum here on RC. Chances are that the dips will not kill the eggs, but they will kill the nudis. You'll probably have to dip several times to get rid of everything.

Ugh...I'm at work so I don't have the abiltity to research this right now but off the top of your head do you know how long they live without zoas?

I might just cut my losses and trash them. Most of them I don't care for and with switching to my new tank soon, I'd almost prefer to not have to worry about all the eggs, etc...

Thoughts? They are all pretty common...

zoo nudis! Have fun! I would just dip them in tap about the same temp as your tank for about 3-4 minutes, then shake the he** out of the rocks in the water, or blast them with a power head.
If you dont want them then dip them and give them to someone and let them deal with the eggs in their QT. Good luck!

It looks like this I think...I got this off another thread on RC

The only thing I'm dipping these into is the trash can. I've been looking around but can't seem to find a timeframe on how long the eggs/bugs will/can live without zoas in the tank.

If I remove them, will the all just die including the eggs and if so, how long till that happens. Should I try to get some of the bugs out?

Thanks for everyones help!

I had them a few months back and managed to rid my zoos of them by pulling out the Nudis as I found them. I had to do this everyday and continue to do it for several weeks after they appeared to be gone. They reappeared once and the process started over again. I've been free of them for about 10 weeks now. Good Ridance!!!
