I got it from somebody who's anemone split (twice). He wasn't able to keep his tank anymore, and it was me or the LFS. The tank is 6 months old now. We just got him last monday, and I was unsure what kind he was.
He had been fed random food--whatever is around. I know there is a lot of debate about feeding...silversides or no silversides, etc. So far I have been offering him half or 1/3 of a silverside every 3-4 days as well as target feeding mysis/brine mix.

I believe saltwater silversides are okay but I don't really use them as much. Freshwater is not as good. I feed mine clam flesh and krill, mine respond better to these for some reason...maybe the bones in the silversides, I don't know.

I have a sebae, but would like a bta sometime in the next 3 months or so, so I've been checking out the bta threads. Just a quick question about this one - is it bleaching, or is the bottome supposed to be white? I thought they would be the same color under the oral disk, but don't actually remember if I've seen the underside or foot of one before.

its bleached but its not the end of it just make sure it gets some silversides and selcon every two days and its color will come back

What kind of light do you have on the tank? And how much flow is it getting? It looks to me like it's stretched up much farther than normal, possibly trying to get closer to the light. It's going to be a very pretty RBTA when it gets back to good health, I think.

As for food, mysis thawed in Selcon, 1/4" bits of raw sw scallop or white-fleshed fish, shrimp, clam, etc., are all good choices.

I would also think about switching your hang on filter to a sump. Its better that way down the road and for your RBTA's sake.

I'm pretty sure only the tentacles are very colorful. The foot should be whitish.

Incorrect. There are different color morphs out there that very among individuals. Some have more of a flourescent red, others have a deeper red, some have a red foot and some have a whitish foot. It all varies.

Here's a picture of my RBTA...mine is recovering from a bleached state as well. You can't see the foot in this picture but it is very red.
