what is this??

a friend gave this to me and it was very browned out does anyone have any ideas??? Im thinking tenious but thats just a shot in the dark.

The second is not an acro, it is closer to a montipora. the first one is an acro, check A. yongei and see any resmblance.
 
If you look at the second one it does look a bit like monti. But look at the lead growth tip on the far right. The branch and the coralites make it look like acropora.
 
I see what you mean. I will wait till it grow a little bit. I have two montis that do the same thing. One even produced sticks with polyps in the middle of the plate. But I see why you came to that conclusion based on appearance of some "coralite" structures,
 
im pretty sure its not a monti I but I obviously dont know what it is since I posted I. I really happy with my 1st one somehow I guessed correctly. When I was given it I was told it was a piece of browned out green slimer.
