Got a pair of "Black Ice" clowns. The male started to develop black spots on him and the female was totally fine. Now she's starting to develop black spots. The other fish in the tank have no spots. The clowns have been exhibiting mating behavior - getting super territorial, their "tubes" are often out, etc. The LFS said its somewhat normal and all the research I've done suggests that its probably NOT "black ich."
Anyone else have any idea on here? Something to worry about? Let it take its course? Some people have suggested that they may be sting burns from attempting to nest in my new anemone and/or frogspawn/ricordea I have. Ive never seen them NEAR the anemone or the frogspawn but they are around by purple ricordea a lot.
In a word: HELP.
