in the last few days my zoas have gone from looking fine to this. could something be eating them? i have seen some unusual looking critters at night that kinda look like small little nudis but the move realy fast and are to small to get pics of. there flat tiny and shuffle around on the rocks at night.

Ever figure out what was going on here? I've seen a few of my frags look like this as well. I suspect a predator, but not nudi's... snails or starfish of some kind perhaps...

Tagging along Looks like mine just dipped all them in coral x blue bottle stronger than normal fingers crossed I'll let u know

It does look like something is picking or eating them. If they move away that quick i would check out some of the threads in the forum about amphipods bothers zoas. Only thing i can think of that is that quick.

Looks like a frag that can be removed from the tank. Dip it in revive or coral RX and see what you find.

here's a list and pics of some predators/irritators of zoas:

Vermetid Snail- i think this is what my problem might be i have seen those little webs all over that area and it keeps getting worse. does anybody know how to get rid of these things?

Vermetids? Poke them and kill individually with a fine object. Will take a while.
Vermetids don't do that to zoas.

I think it's either a shrimp or amphipods.

Grandis.
