what is your ALK

well after 2 months i decided to check my Alk



Alk was at 6.5

so i buffered it up to 8 and turned the reactor up a little

I'm running at 7.5

8-10. If I find it at 8 I'll bump it to about 10. Usually I have to do that about once a week in addition to the 2 gallons per day saturated limewater.

you have to manually bump it up to 10-11 and than use the calcium reactor to keep it at that level

last time i actually tested my water it was at 12.... But I am lazy everything is growing well, so i just do my same old routine.

mine stays at 10-11, I use alk buffer in my top off water. I use an ATO and I love the thing... I fill up a five gallon bucket once a week and ad my buffer and it stays on track.

How do you add the matching amounts of ca?

We're running 6-8. It's been a struggle to keep it up. CA is very high. Even builder does not help as much as it should. Oh well, time for a new system I guess.
