What Just Hatched?

my wife and i just noticed in that in my small 10g 'quarantine' tank that what appeared to be either microbubbles or debris is actually small creatures. VERY small, almost perfectly round with sort of a back fin/tail for movement and tiny dark specks for eyes... almost too hard to see.

i only have a few snails, a few hermit crabs and a single emerald crab. this tank is new and hasn't had any fish in it at all... ever.

any one have any ideas or am i going to have to 'attempt' to take a picture that will most likely not help. or can someone point me to a place that might have pictures to help me identify these?

Without a pic this is like shooting a spitball at a grizzly bear. Could be isopods, copepods, dirt, parasites, OJ Simpsons DNA, etc....:lol: Wish I could be more helpful.

The chances of it being crab babies are scarce. I would bet it is some type of pod, but it could be anything from copepods (good) to cirolanid isopods (little evil vampires that are very bad)
