What kind of Acrylic baffles are safe?

I'd really lean towards 1/4" glass. It works far better for baffles, and it bonds to the silicone.

But the acrylic you linked is a bit thin, and it will flex when with warm water and there is a full section next to an empty section....like if you vacuumed out the middle refugium, but left the skimmer compartment full. Over repeated times it will pull away from the silicone...been there done that. If you do go acrylic, get the 1/4" size, and be generous on the silicon on the edges. Even rough up the acrylic edges so it may bond better.

if you're bent on acrylic , see if there is a local shop that does acrylic work. They usually have a bin with extra pieces from jobs they have done and most would let you have the odd pieces for a couple of bucks for might even just let you have it. Glass would be my choice if your sump is glass. The silicone will definitely adhere better. Just make sure to measure carefully. When the sump is full of water the glass on the sides may bow out a little. Good luck , Neil
