What kind of algae is this?

It came with a hydnophora coral, and I have no idea what it is. It's a really cool color. I kinda like it.

If it is I would advise you to remove it all at once if you have MH lighting. Under lesser lights it grows slower and looks prettier.

It is sitting directly under a 96 watt 10K PC. I will remove a piece of it and take a better photo maybe tonight.

under a 96w Coralife hood this stuff (if it is the same) turned purple and slow-growing for me...

I can just describe it and its growth habits.
