I have one that came in with some Zoa's and looks like yours with deeper purple tentacles. I believe it belongs to the genus, Phymanthus.

I this website and I believe you are correct.

http://www.poppe-images.com/images/search_results.php?category=anemones&family=PHYMANTHIDAE#fs

Now what to do? Keep because it won't kill my zoanthids and button polyps? or Destroy the little sucker in the kindest possible way? or Try to move it to some les inhabited area of tank?

Please advise.

BTW this webiste I found http://www.poppe-images.com is the greatest!

Very cool site and I think it is a dvie site, though it has a lot of marine animals in its data base.

It will bother zoas by keep the area that its tentacles cover clear.

Mine has move, on its own, to an over hang and it is not bothering any thing.

I moved it last night and it immediately opened back up and settled its foot in where I wanted it to. It was still in the same spot seeming happy this morning. It has room to get to be about 4-5" diameter before posing me any problems. Since it is only 1.5 inches now, I should have my 240 gallon (hopefully) set up by the time it gets too big.
