what kind of lighting for Q.T. ?

T5's...cheap upfront cost....low maintenance....low heat......bulbs last forever.....plenty of light for SPS......cheap on power......benefitsof T5's for prop tanks, QT tanks, and growout tanks are tremendous...i use them as my display(which is really just a 55g growout tank ready to go to about a 120 cube)
you want to keep a 10 g QT simple as possible right? T5's offer you this...couple of ATI blue plus with individual reflectors...dont need to overdrive or anything ....you are set to go

if you must go mh i would just throw a 150 pendant or clip on on there
