Please help. Im putting baffels in my sump and need to know what type of silcone to use..Whats the drying time until its safe to fill

Thanks all

I'd use one that's specifically labeled for aquarium us...you can get that at any fish store and Home Depot sells it now, too. It sets (holds what it's meant to hold) fairly quickly but don't put water on it for 48-hours. Then it will be fully cured and fine for being in water.

Now whats better the Ge I or the aquarium silicone.

Either one will work the same. The GE is going to be cheaper and easier to find.

Not sure about aquarium silicone but allot of silocon I have used cures quicker under water! just a thought.

There is no reason to rush. Give it 24-48hrs to cure.

Whatever you purchase, just be sure it's NOT the type for kitchen and bath. This contains Antibacterial chemicals that will kill your bio-filtration. I use G.E. for windows and doors.
