i should add that if you have some aggressive bigger fish it might die. mine starved to death because my foxface never let it get any food or even come out of the rocks. cool fish though

Rainsfords goby. It's about as hard as a madarin to keep.

We have went trough 5 of them there is a exception to all things. My Brother has had a Copper Band for 2 years does that mean that all will live that long. I dont think so. Im glad yours is doing good but most dont IMHO.

i agree with salty they are like a mandarin, you need to have lots of live rock and pods for them to eat, provided they don't want to accept fish food. they are real shy though and mine ate flakes just fine but it had no other tankmates, then i put it in my 125 and it wouldnt come out of the rocks. so it depends on your tank and your other fish.

Mine was done in by a filamented fairy wrasse. We were not happy. It's variously called Court Jester Goby, Rainford Goby, and Old Glory Goby. Its max size is 2", but I've never seen one bigger than 1". They are also sandsifters, and want a sugar sand so it will pass through their tiny gills.

Okay went back to the LFS and noticed that the Wrasse they have there (or state is a wrasse) has three dots on the top and has a blue line running down the middle of it. It looks nothing like Lisa's. Any thoughts?

I have tried getting a picture of this thing and it will not sit still long enough to get a pic.
