What lamps to get?

I am currently upgrading my tank from 2x T8's to 4x T5's 24w.

What are your opinions on the best configuration regarding colours and such?

I like an ATI Blue +, Purple +, Aquablue Special and pure actinic combo, but it may be a little too blue for some.

In my 6 bulb fixture I have 2x actinic, 2x 10000K, 2x 14000K. I like the like the look a lot, looks pretty natural and not too blue.

I run 2 Aquablue Specials and 2 Pure Actintic. It's a nice combo that you can still see the fluorescent in the coral without being to blue.

The following is from the ATI FAQ, not my own experience:

16K - 20K - Bluish white with a noticable blue and red under-tone

4-Bulb combination
3 ATI Blue Plus
1 ATI Purple Plus

12K - 16K - Cool white with a noticable blue and red under-tone

4-Bulb combination
2 ATI Blue Plus
2 ATI Coral Plus

10K - 14K - Crisp white with just a hint of blue

4-Bulb combination
2 ATI Blue Plus
1 ATI Aquablue Special
1 ATI Purple Plus
