what macro lense

Can someone point me in the right direction for a macro lense for a Canon Rebel XT. I want to take closeups.

100mm f/2.8 macro lens is good also the 60mm f/2.8 isnt bad either

yes they are pretty pricey but need to pay a lot for good glass you could also check out Tamron lenses and Sigma lenses not sure but i believe they are a bit cheaper or you could always buy used

I second the 100mm, first lens I bought and haven't looked back. Wait till you get L envy, you'll think this is a cheap lens. LOL

What about a EF 24-105 f/4 IS (L) with a inverse ring ??
That will be good or stupid ?
