What makes Blastos "deflate"?

I have some blastos that I've had for months that are
really thriving. They are up higher and in brighter light than
is gnerally recommended.

I recently got some new blastos and they are placed in various
light conditions but all are "deflated". The older ones look great,
but two colonies (out of 4 total) do not.

Any suggestions?

Wil too much light cause this?

I'm no expert but I think I figured out what caused mine to deflate. I think I fed them to much at once, causing them to rip inside. Sounds bad I know but sorry blastos, I didnt know.

These have not been target fed yet, only what they catch.

The ones in the upper right are doing better and are exposed
to the least light.
