What New Addition

I've been wanting to get another fish for a while, but can't decide what. What recommendations can the fine people of reef central give? I have a 37 cube with a 10 gallon sump. I currently have a very small (8") snowflake eel and a mated pair of GSM Clowns. My corals mainly consist of softies (zoas, ricordia, hammer, gsp, mushrooms). I'm leaning towards a longnose hawk. I had one 5 years back and really loved the fish. What do you think? I currently don't have any shrimp. Thanks for the advice.

With the eel in such a small tank you are maxed out for bioload. For the overall health of the tank and eel I'd trade it in for the fish you like, the longnose hawk.

Once the liverock adjusts to the new bioload, he can add a blacktip reef shark.

dont add the tangs, any tangs or any sharks. i think you are getting the picture though, people are saying if you are going to cram up a fish that is too small you might as well put a killer whale in there and teach it to do flips.

i would look into smaller fish. get a 6 line wrasse, or a rainford's goby, or a royal gramma, or some other small fish.

i agree the eel is too much bio load. i had an eel in 45 gallon, and had to do water changes after each time he took a dump, they were like the size of human........i would trade in the eel for some other smaller fish.

If you go with the long nose hawk you better have a cover. I have had two and both ended up on the floor within two month of getting them. They are really cool fish though.
