mysomental (I'm sure I screwed that up) filaments. They are basically chemical response. Some people claim they are a feeding response but I'm not too sure about that. Your SPS shouldnt be putting these out all the time but once in a while seems normal.

Likely in the OP case it's normal, it would be a good idea to check your basic water perameters and just check in to see that everything is normal water wise. It's possible that particular coral is ****ed off for some reason. It might be minor, but something good to check out just in case any others start doing the same.

Nice camera work. Now if you had RB they would have that night glow. Lol jk

I look closely at the first and the second photo and notice a few yellow dots have moved. Is that just lighting difference or red bugs? I highlighted them below and notice one of the yellow dot has moved to a new position in the second photo:

I would say some particule/dust... red bugs appears more orange or red, or bright yellow with red spot... but better watch closely to be sure ! especially with the coral looking to be in an agression response...
Here's a shot I took yesterday of these bugs (before interceptor !)

is it just me? or do those look straight up like snail or slug eggs, not the dots you guys circled but the bigger stringy stuff that looks like funnel cake

really cool video, who wants to start the rumor that red bugs are actually good for you acros as they can eat them as seen in this video? Oh wait I just did ^_^

hehe :-) ... but they are only good food when killed by interceptor before !!
they're too fast when alive to be eaten by a polyp...
