What pump do you guys use to do water changes?

I am using a Mag Drive 2 to mix salt water, to drain water from and to fill back up the display tank. I am considering a bigger pump, possibly a Mag Drive 5, to accelerate the speed of draining and refilling the tank.

Before I purchase another pump, I would like to find out what y'all are using. Do you think Mag Drive 5 would be an overkill?

I use a Mag 5. It mixes salt quickly and makes water transfer fast and easy. I mix water in a 29g in the stand and transfer to sump when I do my weekly water change. (Working on that now !)

I use a mag 12 and could use a bigger one. The best thing I like is if I let it run over night it gets water to temp without using a heater.

I change about 25 gallons biweekly.

I only do 20 at a time and use a brute. I dont want to stand there all day either. :)

I use a mag 7.5. I have a container plumed into my system that i can exlude with a ball valve. I exclude the container, pump out the water. add water and salt, mix and turn the valve again. makes for very easy water changes

I use a Mad-Drive 24 in a 44 gal Brute, the only bad thing about the MD 24 is the heat that it puts off. If I leave the pump on to long it overheats the water.

mag 2 in my 44 gal brute and i use a mag 12 to pump it upstairs from my basement . i have plumbing to each sump with a shutoff and just hook it up in the basement when i do water changes
