What pump to Buy. Are they Slent?

1)I have a 300L (60gl), 120x50x50 cm and I have a Ocean Runner 3500 as a return pump puting water in one side of the aquarium (about 2000L/h) and I would like to put a Stream 6100 or a 7400 pulsing against it making a counter corrent. I would buy the kit with the single controler. Wich one do you recommend.

I think the 7400 is best because it can agitate water on surfice and creat current layers for diferent kind of corals. I'm starting with more soft corals.

2) Is the Electronic 7400 pum with the single controler (kit) Pulsing silent ? If not, is there a way to make it silent, because I have a very silent aquarium and I want to mantain that or My Wife... You know!

I think the 6000 or 7400 would be fine. The 6100 is too much. Choose the 6000 for SPS and the 7400 for most other applictions. They are quiet, not silent but unless you are real close they will barely be heard.
