What return pump should I buy?

I have a 75 gallon tank with a corner overflow and I wasnt sure what type of return pump to buy or what size. Can any one point me in the right direction?

I've always used cheap external's like gen-x or little giants, however I'd like to try a submerged ehiem. Two main reasons, less footprint in the stand and less noise.

Go with an Eheim 1260 that should push ~600gph. That would provide high flow through your sump or you could go with the 1250 which is about 300gph for low flow. Your choice! Either way they are quiet, reliable and efficient and do not add much heat to the water.

ehiem 1260 pushes a little under 700gph at 0 headloss. if your tank is 4foot tall to the top of the tank, youll be looking in the 400s,

i would just put a 1262 (they are a few dollars extra) and put a ball valve (or gate if your one of thoose controll freak people)

that way you can tweak it to your specifications.

there no better internal pump than an ehiem. low-no Noise,Low heat, A+ reliability and superb durability are what your money pays for when you decide on ehiem.

the germans are gods of internal pumps. and theres nothing else that compares.
