What salt do you prefer?

I was thinking about changing the salt I use in my reef tank and was wondering what other brands people like to use. So sound off and help me make my decision. Thanks!

I was using IO but that needs alot of calcium and magnesium supplementation to bring up to correct levels. I've been carbon dosing and someone recommeded using Coralife. Haven't tested the levels yet but will find out tomorrow.

I used to use IO but switched over to Oceanic Natural Sea Salt Mix. Not ever going back to IO. =)

Been using Tropic Marin for 5 years no reason to switch. Some things to consider is every salt has different levels so what you maybe chasing with your maybe something different with another brand. Also I stick with TM because i cna buy it local at a good price and give the LFS some business.

reef crystal here. It has added calcium to it and supposed to be designed for the reef enthusiast...

I've been using Oceanic for 5+ years and love it..I know it has a higher calcium concentration but have had no problems.. just don't leave the lid off for any amount of time or you will have a block of salt..

I switched from IO to Reef Crystals....both good, but less dosing required with RC.

For several years I have used Tropic Marin, regular and pro both seem to be good, pro is a little more money but has more extra minerals in it. Both are well worth the money.

I started with Oceanic, Went to IO, and I am currently using Reef Crystals. The only reason I have been jumping around is becuase of whats avail. to me. I will most likely stick to IO reef crystals tho.

yep me too, however tm pro is also good salt, not a great alk level imo though
