Thinking about changing salt mixes. Right now I am using reef crystals. Thought I would see what salt mixes others are using and why they like them. Also curious about what everyone is dosing in there tanks now a days. I am dosing bionic two part and every once in a long time a little lugols iodine and strontium.
What salt mix do you use and what do you dose?

Instant Ocean here and I use the two-part solution from bulkreefsupplies.com. I also dose a drop of lugols daily - that's about it!

IO here too. I dose Kalk for topoff, and run ARM media in the calcium reactor. Thats about it....

I use Tropic Marin (sp?). I have found that it has the most consistant Alk and Ca of any salt I have tried. The only neg. aspect of the tropic marin salt is it doesn't dilute or mix very well. I have had to mix for a day or two to get it fully mixed sometimes.
I only dose B-Ionc 2 part.

Tropic Marin Salt, Polyp Lab System Reefresh, Strontium & Molydindum, Lugols. Calcium Reactor with Gen-X and ARM media and ZeoMag Chips.
I have been using oceanic salt, it mixes quickly. I have had a hard time getting ca over 450, usually 400. i top off with kalk this seems to be the best at keeping alk where it needs to be. I have been using alot of purple up to get the coraline going. Does anyone add mag? I am worried about low mag. with purple up and kalk.
