what seahorse for a nano cube?

most people would agree that it's best to keep seahorses in a species only tank. they often require cooler temps and lower flow than reef fish. what are your specs?

I assume you are talking a 24 gal. nanocube? A smaller one wouldn't be enough for any larger seahorses, IMHO.

You will have to make allowances for the seahorses, like lower flow and temperature, that may not be ideal for the fish. I am keeping my temp at around 75 as a compromise, although many here will tell you 72-74 for the seahorses. I have a 24DX nanocube with a pair of H. Kuda, and a spotted mandarin as well. With a nano you will need to make certain your mandarin is eating prepared foods, as you probably already know. Your nano will not be able to keep up the pod population necessary otherwise. The seahorse will also eat pods at times too.

Personally I would not go with an H. Erectus and gobies/dragonettes, they absolutely prefer the lower end of the temp scale. They are the most hardy, but H. Kuda or Reidi are a bit more tolerant of the slightly warmer water (from my limited understanding). Keeping the temp down is also to control diseases, so keep that in mind.
