What sensors needed for AWC and ATO

Ill be ready to set my system up in a few weeks. I just ordered the four dosing pumps but havent ordered any float sensors. How many of the pumps is going to be used for Auto water changes and Auto top off? And which sensors and I going to need to make it work.

You need the float or optical one, just don't forget the mounting bracket!

depends on how you want to this.

Me I use the dosing pump to take out 7.6 liters a day out and use the other dosing pump to put in 7.6 liters per day, for water change I don't even use the float sensors for the WC. For the ATO you would use one float.......

Ok, so you just use the one float to just maintain water lever with the ATO. Cool, I'll have to order one.

BTW just that measure your dosing pump, and don't assume that the pump exactly the same, the pumps the same from one another, what makes the difference is the path and high your tubing is going be........

Your old salt water might be further away than your fresh water and so on, you get the idea!

Make sure you order the mounting brackets they are not included with the float

Thanks for the response kidney. I have searched some older threads about AWC/ATO but I couldn't figure out how the ATO would still add water while the AWC is constantly adding/taking out water.

You do have to be careful, I haven't figured yet how to shutdown the ATO while the AWC is happening.
