Try airing out the house. In the winter and summer months when we tend to keep our homes closed up tight, indoor carbon dioxide can rise. Sometimes three times that of outside air. Carbon dioxide will suppress PH. I have done this,and within 24 hours I get a good reading. Some even run the venturi of their skimmer to the outside,so the tank can 'breathe fresh air'. Some run it through a carbon block at the end..in case there are contaminents outside as well. LOL good one I keep my tank at 1.023 with a high ALK 11.-12DKH. But still battling ,my PH is always at 7.9 may be it will get to 8.0 but once in a blue moon.
ANy sugguestions i keep a bare bottom the tank is drilled with 2 over flows lots of o2 getting in the tank too.. I have one over flow blocked off just because .....
