Hi just wanted to ask what is the best food to feed my lps corals. And how many times a week i should feed them. Also when feeding them should i turn my power heads of and my skimmer. And is it best to target feed them or should put the food in the water. My lfs has DT's Live Marine Phytoplankton i was thinking about getting some of this would that be good for my lps corals thx

DTs phytoplankton is best for feeding your pods. It won't do anything for your LPS. If you want to use it for pods make sure that you feed it consistently (ie every day or every other day). If you don't your pod population will crash and the benefits will be minimized. Also, make sure that you get the freshest bottle possible and shake it up routinely (preferrably every day). If you don't it will condense and won't work as well.

As for your LPS, mysis shrimp is your best option IMO. You can target feed when the polyps are out. Start slowly, say a few pieces once a week or two. Then gradually work up to a couple times a week if you like. Corals like elegance and dendrophyllia will need more often, daily feedings. Either way, you will notice more growth with routine feedings. Good Luck!

I like to feed a mix of homemade frozen food, and heavy cyclopeeze feedings once a week each.

the frzn food has tons of little chunk size for bigger LPS, fish and inverts, and plenty for the filter feeders, and the Cyclopeeze seems to feed everything, and keep them happy...
