What Should My Next Fish Be?

Hi everyone! This is my first post here (not that anyone cares, I just thought it'd be cool to mention).

Anyways, I have a 180 gallon FOWLR tank. The residents include 1 dogface puffer (who is my CHILD, I literally nursed him back from near death from this horrible LFS, and he's the one who got me into saltwater. He's maybe 6 inches in length), 1 Vlamingi Tang (I know, I know, he gets too big. I have a home he WILL be going to when he gets around 15 inches. He's around 8 inches.),1 Falco Hawkfish (2 inches), and most recently, a STUNNING princess parrotfish (eating mysis, green algae sheets, and occasional sliversides!! she's around 7-ish inches). I also have a couple of chromis, who no one bothers. My chromis actually are more aggressive than my dogface, haha. Anyways, my question to you guys is this: What fish do you think I should get next? I want something somewhat peaceful, but able to hold its own. Harlequin Tusk? Blueface Angel? I'm so undecided! What would you guys do?

Tank Specifics:
Nitrite:0ppm
Ammonia:0ppm
Phosphate:0.5ppm
Nitrate: forty (four key doesn't work)ppm (trying to get this lower, got a nice Bermuda skimmer earlier)
Ph: 7.8
120(?) lbs. of LR.
I'm running a very fancy Bermuda Protein skimmer, if that has anything to do with your ideas. It's in the process of being set up, so I'm going to have to wait a while for it to take my nitrates down.:sad2:
Not bad for a 15 year old, no?

Thanks!!:fun4:

Welcome :wavehand:

I don't see a problem with a larger angel. I just would get one with size to start(not bite size)being as your other fish are large already. Like mentioned above a harlequin tusk is a pretty cool looking fish. Another fish that might work is a trigger.

a nice trigger or angel...a Navarchus angel would be great in your tank...or Pinktail/Golden Heart Trigger...

I've always LOVED the golden heart trigger, but aren't they a little too aggressive? My parrotfish isn't that tough, even with her beak. I think I like the Indian Trigger, Harlequin Tusk, Blueface/Bluegirdled/Chrysurus Angel, and Sargassum trigger. DO you think I could pick two of these fish? (I wouldn't mix the triggers.):fish2:

a gh trig is relatively sane for a trig...lol... gh are real mellow trigs, but will always hold their own...one should not cause any issues, and your tang will certainly keep him in line...

no...from that list, in your current tank...pick one...a navarchus angel is the smallest of the large angels and would be nice in your tank...the gh should totally ignore the parrotfish...i think your tang, at 8 inches...would swim circles around a new gh trig...

Alright, I guess I'll have my LFS order one for me, and I'll see how it behaves there. Thanks so much for the info!! I take it you have a GH?

currently have 2 gh trigs...1 is about 13 inches and the other about 3...
make sure you get a small one...

I'm biased :) go with the trig, triggers are always my first choice for a cool no hassle fish! My gold heart is mellow for a trigger but won't be pushed around by my pbt. You will have to watch in the beginning for aggression from the tang if the trigger is a lot smaller otherwise the trigger will be fine. Good luck
