What size chiller?

Need to get a chiller for a 120gal.
What size?

Without knowing things like: what lighting do you have, what other pumps and heat producing equipment, what ambient temp do you keep the room at, etc, it is not easy to make a blanket rating recommendation. Based on your tank size alone, I'd say a 1/5 or 1/4 horsepower size. If you run T5 lighting I'd lean towards the 1/5, halides the 1/4.

I have a 100 reef with 6 VHO's on it and use a 1/3 aqualogic chiller, works great. There is not much cost diff between the 1/4 and 1/3 hp so if you can swing it the 1/3 will be ready for you when you decide to upgrade to a 180!
