For in tank, that pump would be WAY, WAY too strong.

Seahorses don't do well in high flow situations. Low to moderate flow, max, is what I would recommend. And on top of the tank too, not too low where they will hitch onto things.

I picked up a 200 gph pond magnetic pump. have it y'd off too my refugium to decrease excessive flow. seems to work great.

FWIW I used a Mag 3 T'd off for my 30g, and a Mag 5 restricted by a ball valve for a 44. In my 65 I used a Mag 5 running wide open.

I like Mag pumps. they have done good by me. My next pump is going to be for a reef and I am considering in Iwasaki.
