Well, the title says it all. What size tank would a dragon eel need? Has anyone had any experience with these eels? I can't seem to find any information about them.

at least 180-200 gal for one these eels are messy eaters and should be kept with fish larger than their head (well general head "area" ) i would advise getting some other kind of eel first to learn how to care for one , if your dragon moray dies theres 1000$ down the drain

Thanks for the reply Ranzan. And to think....we were looking at getting 180 gallon tank! lol But we really weren't thinking of tankmates for it.....figured it might be safer not to put other fish in there that could, and probably most likely be lunch, dinner, snack, etc. Of course that's a really big tank to have one fish, (or eel), in. We had an lfs here that had one in what I think was either a 120 or 150 gallon. We've had messy eaters in the past and understand the importance of water quality. We do weekly water changes......religously. You can almost set your clock by it. Anyway, thanks again for the reply. Would you, or anyone else know where to find more information about them?

I would say 125g min for the 6 feet in length, seeing as they get 3 feet. That is if it is kept alone.
