What size tank is considered a Nano tank?

40g is not nano in my book. IMO nothing bigger than 20 is really nano.

Generally 30G or less...but I'm sure that a few people with 40G's hang out around here too!

I've always thought a nano reef should be considered ~15g or less. I mean once you get to a 29g you have so many options more options. But I guess nano's are mainstream now too...

Not sure why this question's been popping up about...once a week recently lol.

But 40 is pretty much the average tank size, specially from newbies. Even 30 is average...its really not that small. IMO, nano should be able to sit on like a desk or something (a sturdy desk, not your grammas old rickity writing desk lol) so thats why i say 20g tops. I mean once you start needing a stand for it...its really not taking up as little of a space as you would think, is it?
