what skimmer would you reccomend for around 500 gal

I just use an asm g4+. I am in the process of switching things up with my tank I am building a new sump and going with turf scrubbers

If you are gonna have a basement sump I got a buddy that has an aquac ev-1000 for sale pretty cheap. I think it is rated at 300-1000 gallons.

That looks like a decent skimmer and is rated for up to 1000 gal do you have any contact information for him. Also my whole system will be in the basement the sump will be in a closet that I'm going to build around everything.

That thing will work great but pumps are expensive. Iwaki 70 to run it. They are loud also.

He had it on a manifold system with a reeflo hammerhead the hammerhead ran his whole tank. So it Wasn't that expensive , and reeflos are quiet.
