what spray paint to use?

i want to paint some egg crate black,can i use any spray paint from the hardware store?
most people on RC seem to use Krylon spray,but its harder to find here in the UK.what is so special about it?
what should i look for in a can if i can't find Krylon here(i.e acrylic paint,enamel paint etc etc)?

I have used Rust-Oleum "for plastic". I sprayed the inside of an overflow on my current acrylic 50g. It has been under water in use for 3 years.

Ive read any spray paint will work. Just let is dry fully.

thats prety much what i was looking for.I will have black acrylic covering the sides of my tank and was thinking of paining the egg crate covering the overflow red...
just for abit of diversity and creativity...lol

I've always used Krylon as well, no experience with anything else, but anything that sticks to plastic should work well.

I'm about to paint mine soon again.

Krylon Fusion is made specifically for plastics and it is reef safe after drying copmpletely.

Krylon is available almost everywhere. I think I got mine at either target or walmart.

What spray paint would you use for metal? I made a screen top and the frame is metal I want to spray paint it.

+1 for Krylon Fusion for almost anything you need to paint.
