what tang is this?

this is my buddies fish and i was wondering what it is? it looks kinda like tomini but it is all black???

Chevron tang are one of my favorite. The colors are actually a little better sometimes on the juveniles. Not exactly the cheapest of the tangs either.

He is probably about 6". he is in a holding tank right now while my buddy is setting up his 540...

he is my fav. My only regret is I got him at 5" and never did get to see his juvi colors. He is 8" or so now

he is the most difficutl fish to photpgraph I have. I just in the last couple months have somewhat figured out how to take pics that will show just how striking he is. he is so dark its hard to get the pics to not make him llook black...or blurred one of the two.

Yes,Juvi is more orange and brighter.
