Looked around didn't really see anything that looked like this.
Any ideas?

Tried to turkey baste him out but he retracted. I have yet to see him completely leave his rock hole.

I could be wrong, but that looks more like a fire worm than a harmless bristle worm to me. I would try and remove it if you can.

Yeah it's definitely not a bristle worm I have plenty of those and know well what they look like.

Any good trap to get him out?

Looks like my bristles. The biggest ones I've seen are something like 3-4" long, and they're kind of like earthworms for fish tanks. They'll sting ya, but they're otherwise harmless. In fact, they're good for your tank, since they eat gunk and clean under rocks.

This thing is about 1/4 inch thick and probably close to 3-4 inches long. I got a better look at it today and I'm pretty sure it's a fire worm. Almost caught the sucker but my tweezers got stuck on the rock! Bad shot on my part! Haha

There are more than 10000 species of polychaetes, or bristle worms. Some can grow to 2-3 feet in length, but most found in aquaria will max out under a foot. As far as I'm aware, only the Caribbean bearded fireworm is considered a danger and pest. Others can become pests when they approach very large sizes.
