What is my anemone doing? Rose bubble tip. This was this early morning before lights came on. I haven't seen this before..... and last night was first time my wave maker accidentally got unplugged so it wasn't on for about 12 hours....... I can't imagine no waves for that little period of time would be an issue. Sump uncovered and tank uncovered and temp 81 degrees so I can't imagine oxygen issue? My sump was still pumping and circulating away. And everyone else in tank appears happy. Hmm.... concerning. I'll let u know if he opens later today fingers crossed.

I have seen them close up like that when they have gobbled up something larger..

I've seen that too. Mine will also close up like that shortly after the lights go out on the tank. I guess it's a sleep thing but I can't say for sure.

I find that mine does it when it's pooping. It will open up and brown turds come out. Or if there is a snail around that wants to graze under the anemone.
